Chicago’s weather is extreme. That’s no secret.

It affects more than just your jacket choice, it affects your chimney too.

As the years go by, your chimney ages. Bad masonry means more cracks, more leaks, and more deterioration.

Chimney Leaks

Don’t let water slip through the cracks.

If your chimney had an arch-nemesis, it would be water. Excess moisture can lead to a variety of problems. In fact, water penetration is the number one cause of damage and deterioration in masonry chimneys.

We can waterproof your chimney in order to avoid any problems in the future. If there’s already damage, that’s something we’re happy to fix first.

Chimney Tuckpointing

Good tuckpointing is the base of a healthy chimney. It’s the repair of the mortar joints on your chimney.

Over time mortar decays and cracks and voids form allowing water to penetrate which can lead to problems with the structural integrity of your chimney.

We can fix these problems. Simply replacing the old joints with fresh mortar will make your chimney stronger and prevent water from further damaging the structure. It will make your chimney look much better too.

Chimney Rebuild Services

Sometimes your chimney needs more than just a little work done. It’s a project we’re happy, and well equipped to take on. Vertical offers partial and complete rebuilds of your chimney.
